Our Departments of Education, Finance, Administration, Land, Health, and Agriculture work together to strengthen community development, economic stability, environmental stewardship, and holistic wellness. Each department is guided by principles rooted in Indigenous knowledge and responsible governance.​ Leadership is upheld by the Chief and Vice Chiefs, supported by Clan Mothers, Elders, Representatives, Judges, and Tribal Security. Our Indigenous Justice System emphasizes restorative practices, fairness, and community harmony.

Department of Administration

Tribal Council

The Council of the Tribe of Achaksah Nation serves as a respected governing body composed of representatives from each tribe, including Elders, Clan Mothers, spiritual leaders, and community members. As the Nation’s primary decision-making body, the Council guides matters affecting the well-being of the people, the stewardship of the land, and the preservation of sacred harmony.

Operating through a consensus-based system, the Council ensures that every voice is heard and that decisions reflect collective wisdom and shared values. This approach strengthens unity and upholds the Nation’s core principles of balance, respect, and responsibility.
